Clip for holding thin walled panels onto structure of motor vehicle

The clip is for maintaining thin walled panels (2) onto a structure (3,4) of a motor vehicle. It consists of a base (6) adapted to be solidly fixed to the structure, and a clamping jaw (7) made up of two branches (11,12), one superimposed above the other, and separated by a space (13) into which projects a transverse rib (14) from one of the branches (12). The rib (14) is arranged to co-operate with an opening (17) formed in a part (16) of the panel (2) when it is inserted into the space (13).
