PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify constitution and reduce cost. SOLUTION: A battery reverse connection protecting equipment 1 is provided with an electromagnetic relay RL1 constituted of an exciting coil RC1 and a relay contact RS1 and a diode D1. One end of the exciting coil RC1 is connected with a first terminal T1, and the other end is connected with the cathode of the diode D1. The anode of the diode D1 is connected with a second terminal T2. The relay contact RS1 is always closed. One contact is connected with the first terminal T1, and the other contact is connected with a power source line L1 of the load side. When a battery B is reversely connected, a forward bias is applied to the diode D1, so that an exciting current flows in the exciting coil RC1 and the relay contact RS1 is opened.
