PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly impart the identifiers of a wave length channel and a space channel to an optical signal by permitting the unit holding devices of the plural space channels to generate their own identifiers so as to report them to a mounted signal transmitting unit and permitting the signal transmitting unit to impart the reported identifiers to an outputted optical signal. SOLUTION: Respective mounting slots 13 are independently provided with identifier generating parts 21 being a channel reporting means and respective transmission cards 11 are provided with an identifier detecting part 22, an identifier adding part 23 and a signal output part 24. The signal output parts 24 output the optical signal by laser light in accordance with an external input. The identifier generating parts 21 of the mounting slots 13 generate specified potential as the identifier corresponding to the space channel. The identifier detecting parts 22 judge the space channel from potential reported from the mounting slots 13 as an identifier so as to control the operation of the identifier adding parts 23.
