PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector assembly and a pair of electric connectors of engageable shield type, capable of guiding during engagement so as to compensate for a slight displacement, while being relatively small-sized. SOLUTION: An electrical connector 10 has a plurality of male contacts 50 disposed in an engagement recess (70) and a shield member 80 disposed, so as to cove substantially an entire face of an inside face of the engagement recess (70). A counterpart connector 110, engaged with the electric connector 10, has a female contact 150 in contact with the male contacts 50. A female contact 150 is disposed in a plug part 130. During engagement, the plug part 130 is received in the engagement recess (70). A shield member 80 is disposed on a substantially full face of the outside face of the plug part 130. A shield member 80 of the electrical connector 10 is constituted by the shield member 80 in vicinity of a peripheral rim of the engagement recess (70), and during engagement reception with the counterpart connector 110, a guide face (85) to be inclined so as to guide the counterpart connector 110 outwards is formed. |
