PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record subdata information such as a subaudio signal, a video signal or character information, etc., in addition to a main audio signal on a recording medium in spite of unnecessity of any increase of recording capacity or transmitting capacity. SOLUTION: An analog audio signal of an audible band outputted by a sound source 2 and an analog FM signal having a central frequency (carrier frequency) of, e.g. 16×44.1 kHz apart enough from this audible band are added up by an adder 3. The above added output is converted into one-bit digital data by a one-bitΣΔconverter 7. The one-bit digital data outputted by the one-bitΣΔconverter 7 is subjected to recording processing by a recording processing circuit 8.
