摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure illumination depth for a monochromatic image, to detect a floating state for a color original, and to obtain the floating part as a monochromatic image by providing an illuminating mechanism using a light transmission plate illuminated with red and blue LED, and an illuminating mechanism in which green LED are arranged in an array. SOLUTION: A contact image sensor unit 2 is provided with a light transmission plate 5, and blue LED 3 and red LED 4 are arranged so as to be adjacent to the edge parts, and a wiring substrate 7 in which green LED 6 are arrayed in an array is arranged so as to be adjacent to the longitudinal direction of the light transmission plate 5. A green light is transmitted through a contact glass plate 14, reflected on an original 13, and inputted through an unmagnified image forming element 19 to a sensor 11. The blue lights and red lights of the blue LED 3 and the red LED 4 are reflected in the light transmission plate 5, distributed in the longitudinal direction, reflected on the original 13, and inputted to the sensor in the same way as the green light. Thus, a contact image sensor in which the illumination depth of only the green light is large can be obtained by the composite illumination system of the light transmission plate 5 illuminated by the blue LED 3 and the red LED 4 and the green LED.
