The beam is constituted by superposed bands (1) made from panels of vegetable particles or by an element with a vegetable particle base. It has a frame (2), constituted by wooden strips, extending into its zone subject to traction forces. The bands are treated with damp-proofing, fireproofing and fungicide products. The integration of the frame is obtained by placing the frame in lateral housings (4) in the beam sides. These housings can be closed by a mask (5). The frame can also be integrated by arranging it in a housing (6) between the bands.
