The assembly unit (1) containing longitudinal elements (2a,2b) such as rods tubes or extruded sections, is of a type consisting of an assembly flange (3) made up of flange pieces (4,4a,4b,4c) able to be assembled and clamped up by a clamping piece (5). The pieces of the flange (4,4a,4b,4c) are in the form of a disc (6) of which at least one of their transverse faces (6a,6b) contains an assembly of grooves or throats (7a,7b,7c), parallel and/or convergent and also that of an assembly of holes (8a,8b) passing through the flange piece (4).
