The fastening is in the shape of a staple (10) made from moulded plastic with an aperture (24) for the passage of a tubular component or cable (12), and having at least one socket (26) to receive a matching peg (16) projecting from the surface (14) to which the cable is attached. The staple also has locking elements (34) in the form of elastic lugs which project inside the sockets and engage with the pegs to fix the cable in place. The staple is moulded in one piece from a supple plastic material, for example a loaded polyamide, to avoid damage to the cable, and has inner tongues (52) to hold it in place.
