PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly discharge the residual voltage of a capacitor immediately after turning off of an electric motor driving power source, and also, materialize this substantially without power consumption during power on and without needing the addition of a special discharge circuit. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a motor driver 18 which is connected to a DC power PB through a power switch PR, a current controller which controls the value of the current applied to the electric motor, and a discharge control means ECU which directs the current controller to apply a current. The discharge control means ECU directs the current application to rotate it in the reverse direction to the rotation of the motor. When the rotational speed is under the set value, this means directs the simultaneous current application of all phases. This directs the current application which substantially zeroes the sum total of the torque that each phase of the motor generates. This decides the objective current value corresponding to the rotational angle of the motor and directs this current application. |
