PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power plant having enhanced energy utilizing efficiency as a whole by utilizing exhaust heat for sludge disposal. SOLUTION: A digesting tank 2 for anaerobically digesting organic substance contained in sludge by microorganisms is connected to a fuel supply path of a fuel cell plant 1 via a desulfurizing tower 3, a gas holder 4 and a pre- treatment device 5. A heat exchanger 8 is housed inside the digesting tank 2. An outlet pipeline of secondary cooling water of the fuel cell plant 1 is connected to an inlet side of the heat exchanger 8. An outlet side of the heat exchanger 8 is connected to the inlet side of a cooling tower 6 via a temperature-adjustment valve 7. An outlet side of the cooing tower 6 is connected to the fuel cell plant 1. A bypass from the passage of the secondary cooling water is connected to the temperature-adjusting valves 7a, 7b in such a manner that the secondary cooling water can converge on a passage, for connecting the heat exchanger 8 to the cooling tower 6. The temperature- adjusting valve 7b is disposed in the digesting tank 2 and connected to the temperature-adjusting valve 7a. |
