The mechanism contains a reaction plate (2), a cover (3) with a bottom piece (4) for fixing the clutch mechanism (1) onto the reaction plate (2), and a diaphragm reaction plate (5,6) for clutching and de-clutching the mechanism. There is a pressure plate (7) with a rear face (70) containing a projecting annular rim (8) divided into reaction sectors (80,81) and tongues (9) axially elastic for joining in rotation the cover (3) to the pressure plate (7). Each of the elastic tongues (9) extensions in the form of fixing pieces (19), are fixed by moulding onto or hooked onto at least one of the reaction sectors (80,81).
