The invention concerns an inflatable life buoy launcher gun for throwing, towards a shipwrecked person, a life buoy or life jacket (10) folded in a sheathing body (9) around a pyrotechnic gas generator (15). When the life buoy or life jacket (10) reaches near the person, the life buoy or life jacket (10) is inflated by means of the gas generator (15) gases. The folded or life jacket (10) is launched from a launching tube (1) provided with a firing handle (2) and a launching gas generator (13).
