Compounds of general formula (I): (wherein R is chlorine or methyl; and R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are each independently hydrogen or C1-4alkyl), and a process for producing the same. The compounds of general formula (I) are useful as intermediates for pesticides and medicines, particularly as intermediates for herbicides.
