The invention concerns a mechanism for the continuous spacing and transfer of products, comprising a plurality of spacing and transporting elements (57), movable along a circuit including at least a substantially rectilinear section, said mechanism further comprising a first guiding and driving member such as an upper endless chain (25), a second guiding and driving member such as a lower endless chain (26), each spacing and transporting element (57) being associated with the first and second guiding and driving members (25, 26) by means of supports (32). Said mechanism (1, 2) comprises a third member for guiding the supports (32), said third member comprising a groove (4) arranged in the transfer mechanism (1, 2) frame (3), said groove (4) forming a guide rail for sliding pins (11), each pin (11) being mounted freely rotating about an axis (53) on the first end part of a lever (50), said lever (50) being mounted freely rotating about an axis (51) at the lower part of an associated support (32).
