Drive mechanism for rotary printing-press with transfer cylinder adjustable for angle

The press (1) comprises block (3,4), transfer (5,6) and impression-cylinders. The transfer cylinders are adjustable for angle, and they and the block cylinders mesh with gears (12-15) fixed to their trunnions. Separate electric motors (16,17) have driving spur gears (18,19) for the transfer cylinders. The driving gears mesh with spur gears (20,21) on the transfer-cylinder trunnions, and at points offset towards the apexes (S) of the angles (A) through which the transfer cylinders are adjustable, and can be on the lines (H) bisecting these angles, or alternatively on the lines (N) joining the centres of the transfer- and block-cylinders.
