The control valve has a housing (1) with a working piston (2) displaced axially within a cylinder space divided into a working space (3) and a housing chamber (4) by the piston. The working space is supplied from a high pressure line (6) via a throttle (5), with a control valve bore (8) in the piston connecting the working space to a feedback line (10). The control valve bore is closed by a piezo-actuated sliding needle (11) in the rest position of the piston, in which the working space has a maximum volume.
