The induction silencer has resonance tubes (3,6) in the induction manifold. They may be fitted e.g. at the air intake and on the clean air line (5). The bottom (4,7) of each tube is conical or stepped. The resonance tubes widen out after the branch from the induction manifold to a greater cross-section.
