PROCESS AND CATALYSTS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF EPOXYDES AND HYDROXYLATED DERIVATIVES OF ACIDS AND ESTERS OF FATTY ACIDS

摘要

Process for the production of epoxydes and hydroxylated derivatives of fatty insaturated esters and acids in a single reaction step by using as catalysts molecular sieves containing titanium in their structure and, as oxidising agent, a peroxide. The catalysts claimed in this invention are the zeolites Ti-ZSM-5 and Ti-Beta, and the mesoporous solids of the type Ti-MCM-41 and Ti-HMS, in any case containing or not aluminium in tetrahedric positions of their structure.
