The tin can consists of a cylindrical body, a lid and a bottom part (3) with a surface (3a) offset towards the interior of the can relative to the lower edge (1a) of the body (1). At the circumference of this surface, a cylindrical or conical connecting sector (3b) joins it to the lower edge of the body. There is a shoulder (5) in the region of the connecting sector bounding on the lower edge of the body. Between the shoulder and the main bottom surface there is a weakening line (6). During assembly, the connecting sector is folded inwards or outwards at the weakening line.
