The invention relates to an electromechanical adjustment device comprising an actuating member and an actuating drive. The actuating drive has a first electromagnet (112) and a second electromagnet (114) that is placed at a given distance to the first electromagnet. The actuating drive also has a movable rotor-plate (117), a first and second spring (118a, 118b), which prestrain the rotor-plate in a given rest position (R). Also provided is a position sensor (5) which detects the position (X) of the rotor-plate (117). The electromagnets are alternatively supplied with a given blocking current (I_F). The blocking current is increased when the rotor-plate remains in a rest position (R) for more than a given period (T_DIAG).
