<p>A disposable diaper having a transverse barrier. The transverse barrier is extensible in order to accommodate the presence of fecal material deposited in the rear portion of the diaper. When the transverse barrier is extended, the volume of the fecal material is accommodated without breaching the transverse barrier and allowing smearing of fecal material in the front portion of the diaper onto the wearer's skin.</p> |
