The chamber is has front wall formed as partly as a door with a glass filling. A fresh air feed is provided into the combustion chamber and a flue gas outlet from it. The fresh air feed has an access with a slider adjustment in the contact area between the front wall and the base wall. A rear wall inlet aperture (34) for fresh air is arranged at a distance from the inclined dividing wall (25) in the lower quarter of the height of the combustion chamber (20), and is directed downwards to the base wall (15) and the base wall is closed to the combustion chamber without a grate.
