<p>A high precision vibration gyroscope which has a high detection sensitivity and an excellent detection precision. It has such a constitution that a vibrator used is of a four-pronged tuning fork type whose base does not vibrate even in any vibration mode, that excitation and detection are carried out in the same vibration mode and that the noise output caused by any external vibration is cancelled by the outputs of the four prongs. Therefore it has such merits that the performance is not affected by a supporting method, that the agreement between the excitation frequency and the vibration frequency necessary for a wide detection amplitude can be realized easily without expecting too much of the machining/assembly precision, thus being suitable for mass-production, and that since the outputs other than the Coriolis force can be cancelled, the noise is so reduced that a high S/N can be realized.</p> |
