A linkage support system for interconnecting first (10) and second (12) structures that allows for deformation of first structure (10) while mitigating the transmission of the resulting structural loads to second structure (12). A spherical bearing (14) attaches a first portion of first structure (10) to a first portion of second structure (12); and at least two link assemblies (50) attach a second portion of first structure (10) to a second portion of second structure (12). Each link assembly has a link member (52), a pivot pin (58), and a second spherical bearing (62). First spherical bearing (14) cooperates with link assemblies (50) to mitigate the transmission of structural loads to second structure (12).
