A bore (12) passes through the engaging portion (5) and the shank (2) and can contain an internal screw thread. The internal and/or external diameter of the engaging portion can taper towards its free end which is furthest from the shank. There can be a flange face (4) at the shank end towards the engaging portion, it being so shaped as to fit against the outer surface of the component (15) surrounding the bore (16). The engaging portion can have one or more spring tongues (6).
