The arrangement has an ultrasound sensor system (3), an electronic signal processing and evaluation system (6) and a sensor signal transfer path. The sensor system is mounted on or in the ski (2) or snowboard and detects the relative speed (v) between the ski or snowboard and the snow-covered ground (7). The sensor signal is transmitted using a preferably wireless transmission path, consisting of a transmitter (4) and a receiver (5). The signal is transmitted to a signal processing and evaluation system which derives the corresponding motion parameters so that they can be acoustically or visually presented to the skier.
