The relay switch used to control the operation of a machine has a contact (4) actuator stage, a solenoid (3) and a pair of manual on/off inputs (9,10). One of these (9) is for switch on and the other for switch off. The coupling between the stages is provided by a pivot (7) mounted link (8) that is subjected to a spring action (11).
