It consists of a compact module without moving parts which contains a moisture sensor which activates an encoded radio-frequency emitter and a module capable of detecting the signal emitted by the emitter, activating the alarm. The weight, shape and size of the sensor module allows it to be positioned precisely in the area to be protected, the alarm being given, therefore, instantaneously. Totally hermetic sensor module which can be washed and sterilized using chemical agents. It is fastened by means of a clamping ring, pockets, folds in clothing, between two layers of fabric, bandages or between dressings. Emitter module battery does not need changing throughout its operational life. Valid for the detection of enuresis and escapes of any physiological liquid such as blood, pus or urine. Useful for dry-skinned persons and animals. <IMAGE>
