The invention relates to a selecting device for automotive vehicles, consisting of a console (2) and an adjustable member (1) arranged in the console, the positions of which are determined by a position-maintaining member (5, 11) extending between the adjustable member and the console. The member is located within at least one cavity (15, 23, 24) in the console or the adjustable member. The cavity (15, 23, 24) exhibits onto each other converging supporting surfaces for the position-determining member (5, 11). The adjustable member is continuously subjected to a force, substantially transversal to the position-maintaining member (5, 11), so as to bring it into contact with the supporting surfaces. |
