PURPOSE:To diagnose the abnormality even in a bearing oscillating at a low speed without disturbance by measuring the duration of AE exceeding a refer ence value, and using the AE having the long duration as the value representing a damage. CONSTITUTION:The AE generated in an oscillating bearing is detected by an AE sensor 1. In an AE comparing circuit 6, the AE signal from the AE sensor 1 is compared with a reference value (a). Then, an integrating circuit 7 receives the output from the AE comparing circuit 6 and computes the duration when the AE signal exceeds the reference value. Then, a duration comparing circuit 9 compares whether the duration outputted from the integrating circuit 7 exceeds a reference value (b) or not. Then, the outputs of the signals indicating the fact that the durations outputted from the comparing circuit 9 exceed the refer ence value are integrated in integrating circuits 11-1 - 11-N for every oscillating angle of the oscillating bearing outputted from an oscillating-angle detecting circuit 16. Thereafter, the integrated values inputted from the integrating circuit 11 are compared with a reference value S2 in an abnormality judging means 17. When any integrated value exceeds the reference value, the abnormal signal of the oscillating bearing is outputted. |
