PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily carry out the separation and purification and efficiently and safely produce a cyclic silyl enol ether useful as an intermediate, etc., for medicines and agrochemicals from readily available raw materials by reacting specific silacyclobutanes with a halide and carbon monoxide. SOLUTION: (A) A compound of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are each an alkyl, an aryl or an aralkyl; R<3> to R<6> are each H, an alkyl or an aryl) is reacted with (B) a compound of the formula, R<7> X (R<7> is an aryl, an alkenyl, an alkyl or a monovalent heterocyclic group; X is a halogen) and (C) carbon monoxide in the presence of a palladium catalyst and an organic base such as amines to afford a compound of formula II. The reaction is preferably carried out by using the palladium catalyst at 0.0001-0.5 molar ratio and the organic base at 1-10 molar ratio respectively based on the component B at 0-200 deg.C temperature. |
