The support pin (1) which can be swung out from the bicycle to support it in an upright position has one end rotatably mounted inside a sleeve (2) in a frame section for mounting on the bicycle, the sleeve containing cavities in its side for the swung-out and retracted pin positions. An outwards-curving arc section extends between the two cavities, against which the downwards-pointing part of the pin is in contact in between the retracted and swung-out positions. The end of the pin inside the sleeve has a compression spring around it, held in place between inner and outer rings (15, 16). A washer catch (18) holds the outer ring (15) in position, and the inner ring (16) is held in position by a stop (19) and a piece of plastic wire (13) bent into a U-shape. One arm of the U is held in a cavity inside the arc section, and the other arm extends through a hole in the sleeve wall in front of this arc section, eventually bending outwards to run along the outside of the sleeve, - away from the arc section. |
