PURPOSE:To ensure that a biaxial kneading machine can operate continuously for a long time by providing a pair of vent holes with the lower end opening communicat ing with each kneading chamber, at a position where the protruding wall part is held from right and left, and forming the vent holes slantingly so that the holes become separated from the other in a direction where they extend upward from their respective lower end openings. CONSTITUTION:A pair of kneading chambers 2,3 with an arc-like cross section are formed horizontally side by side through a communicating part 4 in a housing 1. Then, kneading rotors 5 are inserted downward in freely rotating manner at their positions opposed to each other, in the kneading chambers 2,3. In addition, vent holes 6 communicating with the kneading chambers 2,3 are provided halfway through the rotor 5 shaft direction of and on the upper side of the housing 1. These paired vent holes 6 are independent from the other at right and left. In these vent holes, lower openings 9,10 communicating with each kneading chamber 2, 3 are provided at a position where the openings hold a protruding wall part 13 located above the communicating part 4, from right and left. Further, the vent holes are formed slantingly in a direction where the holes become gradually separated from each other toward the top from each lower end openings 9, 10. Subsequently, a venting-up phenomenon can be prevented effectively and continuous operation for a long time is ensured. |
