PURPOSE:To instantaneously drive a photographic lens to an optional focusing position by driving an optical system up to a position stored by a storage means when information on the position of the optical system is stored by the storage means, and driving the optical system up to a prescribed position when the information is not stored by the storage means. CONSTITUTION:When a command is given by a commanding means 400, the optical system is driven by a drive control means 600 up to the position stored by the storage means 300 in the case the position of the optical system constituting the photographic lens 2 is stored by the storage means 300, on the other hand, in the case the position is not stored by the storage means 300, the optical system is driven up to the prescribed position. Thus, by focusing on a certain object and storing the position, it is possible to instantaneously focus on the former object by the command after photographing another object, and a focusing time can be shortened in the case a distance between both objects is drastically long, and also, the operability can be improved. |
