<p>The seal element comprises a connecting piece (4) to provide a mechanical coupling between two adjoining extrusions lying at right angles to one another. The connecting piece, fixed by screws to one of the extrusions and engaging with the other one via two parallel thrust faces, has an aperture (16) and a series of distribution channels (19,22) in a Y-shape, through which a given volume of a sealing mastic, e.g. a silicone mastic, can be injected under pressure to seal the joint. The channels end or are open in the joint zones which require sealing, and each of the thrust faces has an additional passage (21) for delivering sealing mastic to the adjoining surfaces of the connecting piece and the second extrusion.</p> |
