An apparatus for the needling of a nonwoven 5 is described, with at least one needle board 2 capable of being driven back and forth in the pricking direction and with a stationary stitch base 6 between a roller inlet 8 and a roller take-up 9, the said stitch base being located opposite the needle board 2 and being convexly curved in the nonwoven run-through direction. In order to ensure advantageous nonwoven guidance, it is proposed that the stitch base 6 have adjoining it, at least on the run-in or run-off side, a sliding surface 13 for the nonwoven 5, the said sliding surface extending convexly, at least in regions, in the nonwoven run-through direction. <IMAGE> |
