The signals corresponding to thread movement and/or tension are sent to an electronic circuit for processing in order to compare at least one of their parameters with one or more reference signal parameters, and any deviation above or below a given normal range results in a warning signal being emitted to announce a break in the second thread. A method for monitoring a number of threads, e.g. top and/or bottom threads (1) in a piece of textile machinery, e.g. sewing machine, uses a signal generator to emit at least one electronic signal corresponding to the movement of the thread(s) and/or tension during interaction with another thread to form a stitch. The signals are sent to an electronic circuit for processing in order to compare at least one of their parameters with one or more reference signal parameters, and any deviation above or below a given normal range results in a warning signal being emitted to announce a break in the second thread, preferably the bottom thread. |
