PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reaching property of the bristle tips of a toothbrush to the required portion and the following property of the bristle tips after the movement of the toothbrush and increase the tooth filth removing effect by arranging many bristles with the fixed length on an irregular base in one direction. SOLUTION: The base 2 of a toothbrush 1 is formed into a ridge shape having a nearly triangular cross sectional shape perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a neck section 9 and a handle section 10, and bristles 3 are arranged on the tilt faces 2a, 2b on both sides and the apex of the base 2. The bristles 3 forming a brush section 4 has the same length, and they are aligned in the same direction (vertical direction to the front face of a head section 8). The tilt angleθof the planes formed by the bristle tips of the brush section 4 against the plane perpendicular to the direction of the bristles 3 forming the brush section 4 is preferably set to 25 deg.-45 deg.. The protruded bristles among the bristles 3 forming the brush section 4 easily reach the gaps between teeth and gums and can remove the tooth filth in the gaps between the teeth and gums.
