PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the high air-tightness and high heat insulating properties of a house, even if installed in a ceiling of a highly airtight house. SOLUTION: This air conditioner provides an airtight frame 3 between the outside surface of a casing 1 and the periphery of an installation opening 26. The body portion of the airtight frame 3 is formed of foamed polyethylene. The airtight frame 3 is adhered to the lower side of the casing 1 than the exterior connecting piping 10 and a fixing metal fitting 4 by an adhesive agent transfer tape. The installation periphery which is formed of vinyl chloride is narrowly mounted between a ceiling plate 6 and a decorative panel 2, and is adhered to the ceiling plate 6 by the adhesive agent transfer tape.
