PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical information recording medium satisfying CD standards and having satisfactory production yield. SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium is constituted by forming a recording film 2, reflecting film 3 and resin protective film 4 on a transparent board 1 made of plastic or glass. The film 2 is obtained by sputtering Sn<-> N and metal as targets in plasma of CH4 gas by using a vacuum sputtering unit. Gas component such as CH4 , C2 H4 , C2 H2 , or C2 H6 constitutes chain-like organic substance of C and H in the film 2. When a recording laser is emitted, thermal decomposition and gasification occur, and reflectivity is lowered due to light scattering caused by change of complex index of refraction of a recording part and deformations of the film 2 and board 1. The Sn<-> N is transparent for the recording laser beam and is used to regulate optical absorption ratio of the beam. This Sn<-> N is mixed to realize 65% or more of reflectivity of a writing once type CD standard together with reflection from the film 3. |
