PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform conversion between different television systems required for endoscope images and to observe images such as ultrasonic images on the same screen. SOLUTION: Concerning this device, a television system converting and image synthesizing unit 14 is provided separately from a processor device 12 for processing video signals provided by a CCD 11, and an ultrasonic (or X-ray) diagnostic device 15 is connected to this unit 14. Concerning the endoscope video signals, the unit 14 performs processing for converting the color video signals of NTSC system, for example, to the color video signals of high-vision system and synthesizing black-and-white ultrasonic images or X-ray images with these converted endoscope images inside the same screen. Thus, the endoscope images provided by the conventional NTSC system can be observed as high-vision pictures and the ultrasonic or X-ray images can be simultaneously observed as well. |
