PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print at a high speed without influence of ink properties by incorporating both anionic water absorbing polymer and cationic water absorbing polymer in an ink receptive layer. SOLUTION: An ink receptive layer contains both anionic water absorbing polymer and cationic water absorbing polymer. As a method for containing the both, a method having the steps of coating with and drying coating liquid containing the one water absorbing polymer, and then coating with and drying coating liquid containing the other water absorbing polymer, or a method having the steps of existing both the polymers in the state of emulsion in the coating liquid, and coating with and drying it is used. In the case of water-in-oil type (W/O type) emulsion of the polymer, in order to eliminate generation of gelatinizing by mixing the anionic and cationic polymers, it is preferable to be used for coating liquid for forming the ink receptive layer as remained in emulsion as it is. |
