PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grated food such as grated radish dispensing with the skinning procedure, etc., and causing little contamination with sundry germ by shaping a food for grating in the form of rods and grating the rods with a grater provided with a rotary cutter for grating. SOLUTION: A grating food material such as Japanese radish is cut in round slices and punched with a cylindrical punching mold to obtain rod-shaped food materials. The produced rods are placed in cavities formed by through-holes and a bottom plate of a pallet having a proper number of through-holes and provided with an openable bottom plate to seal the lower part of the through- holes. The rods placed in the hollow parts are grated in the held state with a grater furnished with a rotary cutter for grating, the grated food is dropped and filled in a container by opening the bottom plate of the pallet and the opened part of the container is sealed to obtain the objective grated food. |
