PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase indoor controllability by stopping or starting an indoor control operation if a future temperature prediction value when stopping or starting the indoor control operation exceeds a set upper-limit temperature or goes below a set lower-limit temperature. SOLUTION: An indoor unit 1 has an indoor side control unit (ECU) 31 for driving, for example, an indoor side electric fan 7 and an electric expansion valve 9. The ECU 31 successively calculates a future temperature prediction value using a specific operation expression when the indoor control operation is stopped or started based on a current room temperature and stops or starts an indoor control operation if the future temperature prediction value exceeds a set upper-limit temperature or goes below a set lower-limit temperature. Therefore, the indoor control operation is stopped or started before the current room temperature reaches the set upper-limit temperature or the set lower-limit temperature, thus reducing the overshooting of a room temperature and hence improving indoor controllability. |
