PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-operated nut which permits relative rotation between an annular member to be installed and a shaft. SOLUTION: This invention is concerned with a liquid-operated nut 14 for permitting an a bearing ring to be installed on to a shaft 12, it is composed of a sleeve 15 having an annular groove 16 at its one end face, and of an annular piston 17 disposed in the inside of the annular groove 16, and is provided with a part whose end part 18 is projected out of the annular groove 16, and with a pressing fluid passage which introduces pressurized fluid in the inside of the annular groove 16, presses and advances the piston 17 outward, and can be connected with a pressure chamber for giving mounting force in the axial direction to the annular member. And the liquid-operated nut 14 is interposed between a first member 22 fixedly mounted onto the shaft 12, and a second member 23 to be engaged with the side face of the annular member, the sleeve member 15 of the liquid-operated nut 14 is disposed loosely around the shaft 12, and bearing devices 24 and 25 are provided respectively between the first member 22 and the sleeve 15 and between the second member 23 and the end face 18 of the piston 17. |
