PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recorder in which the ink is prevented from drying up for a long term when the recorder is not used and a bad ink can be sucked surely by positioning a cap and a recording head accurately through a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: A frame member 24 supporting a suction cap and a reserve cap 231 us supported, at one end thereof, by a base member 14 rotatably through a shaft 30 and, at the other end thereof, by a carriage frame 13 such that the position can be adjusted by means of screws 34, 35. The suction cap and the reserve cap 231 are positioned accurately relative to a recording head 10 by turning the frame member 24 about the shaft. |
