GROUNDWORK MATERIAL FOR ADHERING WALLPAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ground work material hardly requiring skill and time, and capable of improving operability and reusability by constituting the groundwork material out of an olefinic polymer sheet containing a specific amount of mica powder having each prescribed weight average flake diameter and weight average aspect ratio. SOLUTION: This groundwork material comprises a sheet of an olefinic polymer such as polyethylene, containing 20-70 wt.% mica powder having 10-1000μm weight average flake diameter and >=10 weight average aspect ratio. The groundwork material for adhering wallpaper is preferably coated on the surface of a substrate, and the wallpaper is adhered to the groundwork material for adhering the wallpaper by using an adhesive consisting essentially of a starch.
