PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medical instrument where excellent bioactivity and antibacterial activity are given at the same time by forming a cross-linking coat where bioactive substance and antibacterial substance are coupled on the surface of a base material. SOLUTION: For example, the base material of a medical instrument such as IVH catheter or the like is formed by high polymer material such as polyurethane or the like. A cross-linking coat obtained by interaction of a high polymer material having an acid anhydride group such as a maleic anhydride-ethylene copolymer and a compound having about two or more active hydrogen is formed on the surface of the base material. Further, bioactive substance and antibacterial substance are coupled to the cross-linking coat. As the bioactive substance, the substance containing an amino group in the structure such as active plasmin or the like is suitable. As the antibacterial substance, any basic antibacterial substance may be used, and amoxicillir or the like can be used. Thus, the bioactivity and antibacterial activity can be given at the same time. |
