PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fold section stopping unit for a chopping machine to improve a folding accuracy by preventing collision damage or rubbing of a front end of the section. SOLUTION: The fold section stopping unit 10 comprises a plurality of stopping means 11. The respective means 11 are arranged perpendicularly in a conveying direction of a fold section of a chopper blade 59 at a downstream side of the conveying direction, and have stopping members 19. Since the means 11 are solely movable in the conveying direction, when the central member 19 is previously retracted to a downstream side with respect to the member 19 of outside in response to a sheet thickness of the section, a front end of the section to be held and conveyed by belt members 51 is not brought into contact with the member 19 of the means 11 to 14 even when it is drawn by chopper rollers 60 to prevent collision damage of rubbing of the front end of the section and to improve its folding accuracy. |
